Ten players took to the catwalk in the Hayward Suite to model the latest designs from exclusive Birmingham store Harvey Nichols with the rest of the squad on hand to show their support. The players mingled with guests both before the event and afterwards at an exclusive after – show party, while a silent auction was also held to boost the funds which will be sent to the charity
Matt Jarvis was among those players who put themselves forward to run the gauntlet from their team mates! ‘Its for charity so we all agreed to do it,’ said the winger. I’m sure we’re going to run the gauntlet from the rest of the lads after this and I had the short straw by going out first. There will be a lot of banter but it was all good fun and for a very good cause’.
Wolves head of commercial Paul Lakin revealed the players strutting their stuff on the catwalk unwittingly received some positivefeedback from amongst the audience. ‘Several guests who are more into fashion than the football asked me which of the male models were the footballers. So that clearly suggests they were impressed with their performance! . It was a different type of event to the others we have put on this year, but one with a good strong charity element, which was supported equally as well by Harvey Nichols, for which we are extremely grateful. It proved a very successful evening, so much so that we are now planning to make it an annual event from now on.’
